  John Pappas, MD

  Medical Director/Principal Investigator

Board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Pappas has served as the Medical Director and Primary Investigator for KMRC since 2005.Dr. Pappas is well    established in the clinical research community. Studies conducted by Dr. Pappas have consistently ranked in the top percentiles concerning evaluable patients. He has conducted and supervised over 300 clinical trials. Dr. Pappas has a great sense of humor and enjoys tennis and singing.

 

Henry West, MD

Principal Investigator

Dr. West graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 1978. He has worked extensively for several hospitals and private practices as a family practice physician and in emergency medicine.Dr. West enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, cooking and gardening.

 

Sheila Dickerson, BS, MT (ASCP)

Chief Operating Officer

For over 15 years, Sheila has been actively involved in the clinical drug development process. She graduated from Morehead State University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science (area in Medical Technology) and a minor in Chemistry. Sheila proceeded to work in clinical laboratory management for 14 years prior to moving into research project management at Covance Laboratories in Indianapolis. She has worked at REGISTRAT and most recently with Kendle International’s late phase division in Cincinnati, Ohio as a Senior Project Manager. Sheila joined KMRC in 2010 as the COO.

 

Jacqueline Lewis, ARNP, CCRC

Clinical Research Coordinator

Jackie is from Ashland, KY. She has lived in Lexington for 27 years. Jackie has been a Registered Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner since 1984. She has also certified in Women’s Health.For many years Jackie has worked in both in Family Practice and Women’s Health.

 

Keri Thomas, CRC

Clinical Research Coordinator

Keri is originally from Maysville, Kentucky and attended Eastern Kentucky University. Previously she was employed by a Non Profit Organization, Kentucky Blood Center, as a Donor Room Supervisor where she acquired an extensive background in practicing & phlebotomy training. Keri has been with KMRC since 2005 and has been involved in numerous clinical trials with special interest in COPD & Gastroenterology. Her hobbies consist of traveling and shopping.

 

Megan Poole, MS

Clinical Research Coordinator

Originally from Owensboro, KY, Megan has been involved in research studies for over four years and is especially interested in human behavioral psychology.Megan is a diehard Wildcats’ fan who enjoys movies, shopping, and eating sushi.

 

Mike Richeson

Clinical Research Coordinator

Mike has over 13 years of clinical research experience including oncology, rheumatology, diabetes and Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) studies.Mike also has an extensive background with OSHA, DOT and EPA compliance regulation. He enjoys spending time with his kids, attending their activities and golf.

 

Theresa Mims, RN

Clinical Research Coordinator

Theresa joined KMRC in October 2007. Born and raised in Lexington, KY, Theresa graduated with a Nursing degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 1985. She has been practicing as a Registered Nurse for 25 years. Theresa has 14 years experience coordinating clinical research, including 10 years in the university setting. Her nursing experience has been in trauma, medical/surgical, neurology, infusion, dialysis, substance abuse, psychiatry and long-term care.Theresa enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, fishing, boating and spending time with family, especially grandchildren.
