Job Description
Kentucky Medical Research Center (KMRC) is looking for a keen, enthusiastic, hard-working, creative candidate to join our marketing team. The Marketing Specialist position offers the opportunity for lead key marketing programs and provides a broad spectrum of experience for future success. This role involves interface with both multiple internal and external resources to a) grow company branding and b) increase patient recruitment for research studies. Marketing channels include web, email, TV/Radio, advertising, blog, and event marketing. The job includes:
- Developing messaging for TV/Radio, Newspaper, Health Fairs, website, email campaigns, etc.
- Compiling, analyzing, and presenting performance metrics
- Supporting and developing media materials
- Identifying opportunities to educate patients, healthcare professionals, and potential referring physicians about study participation
- Identifying pertinent events and meetings; coordinate and staff as needed
- Identifying retail and medical establishments, and community organizations, and enlist their support in building study awareness
- Coordinating multiple study timelines including scheduling potential candidates
- Developing of marketing collateral
- Monitoring and assisting with social network and website updates
- Identifying and participating in local events such as expos, community events, and health fairs
- Participating in brainstorming and update meetings
- Making telephone recruitment and acknowledgement calls
- Maintaining a working knowledge of programs
- Assisting in the creation and distribution of call lists, media campaigns, calendar listings, referral letters, etc.
- Must have worked with Social Media such as Facebook, UTube, etc
- Experience in developing and executing events
- Must be enthusiastic and energetic
- Proven ability to execute engaging campaigns and programs that attract and retain customers in business-to-consumer and/or business-to-business contexts
- Effective in working across organizational boundaries to define, manage, and prioritize work
- A clean sense of design aesthetics, and a natural propensity to simplify, providing actionable recommendations to the creative team
- Great organizational skills and a strong focus on using data to reach decisions
- A strong communicator and superior multi-tasker who tracks multiple deliverables, delivers to deadlines, and analyzes and evaluates results
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment: flexible, biased for action, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable collaborating with multiple teams and senior management
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field required
- 3+ years’ experience in technology services, e-commerce marketing, or related field
- 3-5 years of online or direct marketing experience, ideally in e-commerce or in online technology
- Experience interfacing with TV, Radio, Newspaper, magazines, etc.
- Experience with social media
- Experience with creating marketing collateral
- Experience with software and editing tools (Excel, basic HTML, Photoshop for example)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Exposure to human bodily fluids
- Extensive Computer Use
- Occasional night and weekend work schedules
- Lifting up to 20 pounds and occasionally more than 20 pounds
